Zoo Lights at the Houston Zoo

TXU Energy presents Zoo Lights at the Houston Zoo celebrates ten years as one of Houston’s best loved holiday traditions! Stroll through the beautiful Zoo grounds as you take in the sights and sounds this holiday season. Make sure you visit the zoo during the day to see the animals as they will be enjoying a full night’s slumber during the night. Tickets will NOT be available for purchase at the gate so be sure to get them HERE.

Before you go, be sure to remember to bring any broken or old holiday lights to recycle and help save animals in the wild.

Moody Gardens Festival of Lights

Enjoy a festive stroll along this mile-long trail featuring more than two million lights and lighted scenes themed to holiday music that take you around the Moody Gardens property with spectacular views of Galveston Bay. Stops along the way bring you to see Star the Dancing Tree of Light, concession areas, hot chocolate, fireside S’mores and other festive foods, Mistletoe, along with plenty of photo and selfie opportunities! Breakfast With Santa at the Downtown Aquarium

Discovery Green Ice Rink

Glide beneath the glittering lights of downtown Houston and discover the holiday magic on Green Mountain Energy Ice at Discovery Green! The rink is open Monday-Friday 5-10 PM, Saturdays 11-11 PM and Sundays from 11-8 PM with tickets for $15. Skate on a Monday and save during value nights for $8! Alvin Christmas Train

Each Christmas season hundreds of volunteers from LS Church come together to setup and host the Christmas Train at Victory Camp in Alvin. The event began back in 2000, and over the years has quickly become one of the Houston areas favorite Christmas events. The train is open to the public and all ages are welcome! Purchasing tickets will reserve your place on a train for a particular time frame. It is recommended  buying tickets online in advance for the best selection of dates and times.
