Steak and Bacon Cookoff with KidsQue
Join us Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 8 AM – 9 PM at The Wildcatter Saloon for a fun filled day of Steak and Bacon Competition with KidsQue, live entertainment and family activities all to raise money for Premier Housing Assistance! With your purchase of a general admission ticket or cookoff registration, you are helping PHA provide financial assistance to patients traveling to the Texas Medical Center. Many of these patients chose to forgo much needed, and in some cases life-saving, treatment due to financial constraints. Patient Housing Assistance was created to help offset housing expenses, so patients can focus on their cure and not the pressure of housing costs. With your purchase, PHA can help even more families impacted by the weight of medical treatment and housing.
Patient Housing Assistance is the largest donor for Premier Patient Housing ,the leading authority in short term, temporary housing in Houston, TX. PPH specializes in providing fully furnished apartments within minutes of the world’s leading hospitals such as Texas Children’s Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Chi St. Luke’s and TIRR Memorial Hospital. Their goal is to provide living environments conducive to relaxation and recovery as families go through the cancer treatment process.
Your cookoff registration not only helps PHA benefit PPH and the families they assist, but gives you the chance to win awesome prizes while giving back to a great cause. The winning team in the steak category will win $1000, with cash prizes given through 10th place! A bacon payout of $150 will be given to first place with cash prizes through 5th place! Adults aren’t the only ones having fun at the grill. KidsQue allows kids to show off their BBQ skills in the categories of steak, bacon or both! Not only will your cookoff skills be noticed at the local level, but the Steak and Bacon competition is part of the Steak Cookoff Association circuit for the Cookoffs World Championships.
