Houston Events for Late September

Premier Patient Housing has the honor of hosting guests from all walks of life. People from all over the country come to Houston for the Texas Medical Center and its ability to put technology and research to use. While guests can experience the comfort of home with us, they should also be able to experience their surroundings when they get the chance. Here are some Houston events for you!

Sports

Although the atmosphere of a real sports game is lost with fans not being allowed to attend the actual games, watching the games is still an option. Thankfully, technology gives us the opportunity to still watch our favorite teams, but from anywhere (including your Premier Patient Housing apartment!). Catch these live games from Houston’s teams:

• Houston Astros – These 2017 baseball champions have a series scheduled this Thursday through Sunday in Arlington, Texas against the Texas Rangers. You can watch this game through ATT SportsNet-SW, or by live radio broadcast.
• Houston Dynamo – Houston’s soccer team will be competing against Chicago Fire FC on Wednesday, September 23 at 6:30PM. Dynamo soccer games are aired on ESPN+ and QuestTEXAS.
• Houston Texans – On Sunday, September 27, the Houston Texans football team will be playing against the Pittsburgh Steelers. If you have time to watch a Sunday afternoon game, tune in for this game being played in Pittsburgh.

Art

Art can be anything from music to actual art work being displayed in a museum. Lucky for Houstonians, this city has many offerings for an avid art lover. Take a look at what Houston is offering this week:

• Art Crawl  – Do you like beer and art? Holler Brewing Co. is hosting an Art Crawl on Sunday, September 27 from 3PM to 6PM. Take a walk through the Sawyer Yards campus and get the opportunity to speak with local artists about their work on display.
• Comedy Show  – Looking for a laugh? Rudyard’s British Pub is having Billy D. Washington perform on Friday, September 25. You can go to the event itself, or live stream the event from the comfort of your apartment.
• Drive-In Concert – Saturday, September 26, Axelgrad will have a rooftop drive-in concert . Listen to the concert through the radio while you watch the rooftop performance from the comfort of your car.

Other Houston Events

• Galveston Tour – Get a tour of Galveston from the comfort of your home. Brian Davis, author of Lost Galveston, will be taking guests on a virtual tour of Galveston Island’s lost buildings and stories through Facebook live on Thursday, September 24.
• Rothko Chapel Reopening – This chapel has been closed since March 2019. On Thursday, September 24, the renovated chapel will be open for viewing.

While some of these experiences can be enjoyed from home, others will require you to venture out. At the end of the day, Premier Patient Housing is here to give guests the comfort of home from far away.
